What are Startup Acquisitors Looking for?
As a Computer Scientist there are a few different ways to “strike at gold”: Getting hired at a big company with starting salary of 80k and above (which is reasonable), joining/starting a startup and hope it either takes off and becomes a big company or an established company sees the potential in it and purchases [...]
Project Moon: Making Cheap Computers Into Supercomputers
Many if not all Universities and businesses have networks of computers, computer labs, server rooms and more. The equipment these institutions own, as impressive as it may get, isn’t anything compared to the processing power required by big companies like Yahoo, Google, Facebook, etc. These companies spend millions on what are called supercomputers, or computers [...]
Break Your iPhone In This Case, Get a New One!
How many times did you have to replace your broken iPhone? Because research shows that on average an iPhone doesn’t last longer than a year without needing replacement, and from personal experience, I’ve seen enough iPhones breaking (except for the one I bought way back in 2008). However if you break your iPhone while it’s [...]

While it seems impossible, believe it or not, as long as you’re passionate about what you do, have a good idea and a little luck, everything is possible…

Just like most Universities, Virginia Techs Math Emporium isn’t a very impressive computer lab yet it serves over 8,000 students and operates 24/7. When Wu-chun Feng looks at this computer lab equipped with 550 Macs, he sees potential.

Meebo have been focusing on many different social tools like their Web based Instant Messaging (IM) platform (which supports a bunch of different IM systems like Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and others), Meebo Bar and others. the latest tool Meebo’s homepage is pushing is for users to “create an interest profile to get new and timely information about the things that matter to you.”
What can Google do with Meebos services/tools? that’s a great question… but who said Google are acquiring Meebo for its services/tools and not for its engineers?
