Google are in the talking process with Meebo according to AllThingsD. The price for the company according to AllThingsDs sources would be $100 millon, which is pretty significant.
Meebo have been focusing on many different social tools like their Web based Instant Messaging (IM) platform (which supports a bunch of different IM systems like Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and others), Meebo Bar and others. the latest tool Meebo’s homepage is pushing is for users to “create an interest profile to get new and timely information about the things that matter to you.”
What can Google do with Meebos services/tools? that’s a great question… but who said Google are acquiring Meebo for its services/tools and not for its engineers?
